My Paperboy Pants

I have to admit, bottoms…they scare me a bit. But when Christina did a call to test the Paperboy Pants I really wanted to give it a try! The goal was to make the pants in ponte, and so I did!  

The Paperboy Pants are designed to give the illusion of a tailored trouser. And I must admit, the back elastic makes them super comfortable to wear and they fit like a pair of sweatpants!

Ik moet toegeven, broeken naaien…daar heb ik een beetje schrik van. Maar toen Christina een oproep deed om de Paperboy Pants te testen, wilde ik het zeker proberen! Het doel was om deze te maken in Punta di roma. En dat deed ik!

De Paperboy Pants is ontworpen om de illusie te geven van een op maat gemaakte broek. En ik moet toegeven, de elastiek aan de achterkant maakt ze super comfortabel om te dragen. Eigenlijk voelt het aan alsof je een joggingbroek draagt!

Ponte is perfect, but medium weight knit fabric such as, (but not limited to Ponte), French Terry double knit or other appropriate pant-weight knit fabric with 3-5% Lycra or Elastane in the composition are also fine.

The pattern is drafted for a height of 172 cm/ 5’8” and goes up to size 46 EU/ 16 US. I didn’t made any changes for my height of 165 cm. 

Punta is perfect, maar medium rekstoffen als French Terry of andere geschikte broekenstoffen met 3-5% lycra kunnen ook.

Het patroon is getekend voor dames van 1m72 en het gaat tot maat 46 EU. Ik maakte geen enkele aanpassingen aan de broek voor mijn lengte van 1m65.

I paired my Paperboy Pants with the Trudy Turtleneck. The Trudy has 2 collar options; a high collar (6”/ 15 cm) and a low collar (2.5” / 7 cm). The set-in sleeve is designed with 5 sleeve lengths. I made mine with a 3/4 sleeve and I used knit.

Ik draag mijn Paperboy Pants met de Trudy Turtleneck. Trudy heeft 2 kraag opties; een hoge en een lage kraag. Je hebt wel 5 mouwlengtes.

In the end I am satisfied with the result and after a few days wearing these pants, I do not want to do it in the laundry. Oops!

Uiteindelijk ben ik tevreden met het resultaat en na een paar dagen dragen, wil ik de broek liefst niet in de was gooien. Oeps!
