ITS Time to sew Blog Tour

Hello and welcome on my day on the Itch To Stitch blog tour ‘It’s time to sew!’ featuring See You at Six fabrics. September 17th through September 21st 2018 every day a handful of testers will show you their creations from the Itch To Stitch collection. The fabrics for the garments are sponsored by amazing fabric designers and shops, there are also incredible prizes to win and especially today the patterns I made are on sale! I’m proud to participate and present you a few of so many amazing patterns from Kennis Wong, the designer from Itch To Stitch. I can assure you I already made many patterns from her, but this time I went different. 

Hallo en welkom op mijn dag op de Itch To Stitch-blogtour ‘Het is tijd om te naaien!‘ en dit in samenwerking met de stoffen van See You at Six! Van 17 september tot 21 september 2018 zullen elke dag een handvol testers je hun creaties laten zien uit de Itch To Stitch-collectie. Alle stoffen voor de kledingstukken werden gesponsord door geweldige stoffenontwerpers en winkels, er zijn ook ongelooflijke prijzen om te winnen en speciaal vandaag zijn de patronen die ik maakte in promotie! Zorg ervoor dat je zeker naar beneden scrolt om alles over die prijzen te weten én geweldige bloggers!

Ik ben er trots op deel te nemen en presenteer u enkele van zo veel verbazingwekkende patronen van Kennis Wong, de ontwerper van Itch To Stitch. Ik kan je verzekeren dat ik al veel patronen van haar maakte, maar deze keer ging ik een andere toer op.

See You at Six or Cy@6 for the connoisseurs is a fabric line designed in Belgium. On the one hand, you have soft feminine viscose fabrics with which stylish dresses, jump suits, long skirts, kimonos, scarves, … can be made. On the other hand you have the Playtime collection. An innovative playful but stylish fabrics with which you can sew a complete mini collection together. 

This Cotton Lawn – Dyna Blue , perfect for light weight tops, dresses and skirts, seemed to me ideal for the Chirripo and this in combination with the Herons French Terry-Honey Peach for my Tierras Woven Joggers.

See You at Six of cy@6 voor de kenners is een stoffenlijn ontworpen In België. Enerzijds heb je zachte vrouwelijke viscose stoffen waarmee stijlvolle jurken, jump suits, lange rokken, kimono’s, sjaals,… kunnen gemaakt worden.
Anderzijds heb je de Playtime collectie. Een vernieuwende speelse maar stijlvolle stoffen waarmee je een volledige minicollectie kan bij elkaar naaien.

Deze zijde katoen – Dyna blauw, prima voor licht gewicht tops, jurken en rokken, leek me ideaal voor de Chirripo en dit in combinatie met de Herons French Terry-Honey Peach voor mijn Tierras woven joggers.

I already made the Chirripo and the Tierras before, but I didn’t in cotton lawn and French Terry. The Cotton Lawn was delicious to sew with, really it was! I was amazed how good the quality is! 

This charm looking Chirripo top has cup sizes. Featuring front and back squared necklines, the Chirripo has short flutter sleeves or you can skip to make a sleeveless top. Because of the relaxed bodice I added a belt to accent my waist.

The Tierras is initially made for woven, but I wanted to try it out with French Terry. Because of the stretch I sized down and it worked out fine! My waistband and hem were replaced by a matching ribbing fabric in peach. On my outer seam I sewed a striped ribbon and I think it gives it a nice and modern accent. What do you think?

Ik maakte de Chirripo en de Tierras al eerder, maar dat deed ik niet met katoenzijde en de French Terry. De Cotton Lawn was heerlijk om mee te naaien, echt waar! Ik was verbaasd over hoe goed de kwaliteit wel is!

De Chirripo top heeft naast een charmante uitstraling ook cupmaten.  Voor- en achteraan heb je een vierkante neklijn en korte mouwen die je ook kan weglaten om een mouwloze versie te krijgen. Vanwege het lossere model voegde ik een riem toe om mijn taille te accentueren.

De Tierras is in eerste instantie gemaakt voor geweven stoffen, maar ik wilde het uitproberen met de French Terry. Vanwege de stretch stof nam ik een maat minder en dat kwam goed uit! Mijn tailleband en zoom werden vervangen door een bijpassende ribstof in perzik. Op mijn buitenste naad naaide ik een gestreept lint en ik denk dat het een mooi en modern accent geeft. Wat denk je?
