The Ladies Lotus Blossom Blouse is a flattering dolman sleeve blouse meant for lightweight drapey knits that are the same on front and back. The neckline features a gradual v-neck that is a breeze to sew. The back of the blouse can feature a special fabric such as stretch lace or a really cool scrap of knit. The surprise in this blouse is the twist at the front. The shirt-tail hem really makes this top a great choice for just about any pants or skirt style. Here I’m wearing my Legato Jeans because I can match it with everything! Be sure to scroll on for more combinations!
It is not such a difficult sewing project. When making the twist you should not think too long because otherwise it will be too complicated. Your front piece is a one piece mirrored top where you bring the two sides of the neckline right against right to form the v-neckline. I think this is just a moment where you have to keep your wits about you. I can hear myself talking 😉 After this you bring the back piece at the shoulders against the front piece and you can close the top there and on the sides. The neckline is finished by folding it over to the inside.
Finally, finish the hem and add the sleeve cuffs. If you want to hem the sleeves instead of attaching the sleeve cuffs, that’s also possible. You’re the designer;)
De Ladies Lotus Blossom Blouse is een flatterende blouse met dolmanmouwen, bedoeld voor lichtgewicht vallende tricot dat voor en achter hetzelfde is. De halslijn heeft een geleidelijke v-hals die gemakkelijk te naaien is. De achterkant van de blouse kan een speciale stof bevatten, zoals stretch kant of een echt cool stuk tricot dat u al jaren bewaart. De verrassing in deze blouse is de twist aan de voorkant. De hemdstaart zoom maakt deze top echt een geweldige keuze voor zowat elke broek- of rokstijl. Hier draag ik mijn Legato Jeans, hij past echt overal bij!
Het is niet zo’n moeilijk naaiproject. Bij het maken van de twist moet je niet te lang nadenken want anders wordt het te ingewikkeld. Je voorstuk is een gespiegelde top uit één stuk waarbij je de twee kanten van de halslijn rechts tegen rechts brengt om de v-halslijn te vormen.
Ik denk dat dit een moment is waarop je je verstand erbij moet houden. Ik hoor het nu tegen mezelf zeggen 😉
Hierna breng je het achterpand bij de schouders tegen het voorpand en kun je de top daar en aan de zijkanten sluiten.
De halslijn werk je af door hem naar binnen te vouwen.
Tot slot werk je de zoom af en voeg je de mouwboorden toe. Als je de mouwen wilt omzomen in plaats van de mouwboorden aan te brengen, kan dat ook. Jij bent de ontwerper;)
Let’s look at some combinations with the Lotus….
My first combination is my yellow Lotus with my Duet Trousers. The advantage of a plain top is that it fits easily on a bottom with print. I used a satin poly for the Duet.
My second outfit is one with the Ravinia skirt and actually I had another beautiful one to match the yellow Lotus. But so for now this one. The skirt is made from a viscose knit.
Laten we eens enkele combinaties bekijken met de Lotus…
Mijn eerste combinatie is mijn gele Lotus met mijn Duet Trousers. Het voordeel van een effen bovenstuk is dat hij makkelijk past op een onderkant met print. Ik gebruikte een satijnen stof voor de broek.
Mijn tweede outfit is er eentje met de Ravinia rok en eigenlijk had ik nog een mooie die bij de gele Lotus paste. Maar voor nu deze dus. Voor de rok gebruikte ik een viscose knit.
Here’s my Allegro pants in a linen viscose blend. The fabric is from Minerva fabrics as the yellow Lotus fabric. Below that, you’ll find another pair of Duet Trousers, this time in a trouser fabric with stretch by Madeline De Stoffenmadam.
Hier is mijn Allegro broek in een linnen viscose blend. De stof komt net als de gele stof van Minerva. Daaronder vind je nog een Duet Trousers, deze keer in een broekenstof met stretch van Madeline De Stoffenmadam.
