Sewing Itch to Stitch patterns is a matter of course, a way of life for me. And trying something different with them keeps interesting. Especially for today I chose to lengthen the Busan to a tunic/sweater so I could wear it on skinny jeans. I really love these exaggerated narrow shoulders and those sleeves with long cuffs.

Where did I get this beautiful fabric? Well, it’s French Terry from See You at Six and it is gifted to me by a special lady. Presenting it with the Busan pattern will be a dedication to her.

My way to sew the Busan:

As you see I used matching rib for the cuffs, neckband and bottom band. It has the same undertone as the main fabric. To get this length, I used my basic Busan pattern and I lengthened it with 8 cm/ 3.15″ and added a bottom band with a height of 9 cm or 3.54″ to get this look. Ideal to wear on a skinny!

Naaien met Itch to Stitch patronen is een vanzelfsprekendheid voor mij. Dus af en toe iets anders proberen, blijft interessant. Speciaal voor vandaag koos ik ervoor om de Busan te verlengen tot een tuniek / trui zodat ik hem op een skinny jeans kon dragen. Ik hou echt van deze overdreven smalle schouders en die mouwen met lange manchetten.

Van waar heb ik dit prachtige stof? Wel, het is French Terry van See You at Six en ik kreeg het cadeau van een speciale dame. Het presenteren met het Busan-patroon zal speciaal aan haar toegewijd zijn.

Zo naaide ik de Busan:

Zoals je ziet, gebruikte ik bijpassende rib voor de manchetten, nekband en onderste band. De rib heeft dezelfde ondertoon als de hoofdstof. Om deze lengte te krijgen, gebruikte mijn basis Busan-patroon en ik verlengde het met 8 cm / 3,15 “en voegde een onderste band met een hoogte van 9 cm of 3,54” toe om deze look te krijgen. Ideaal om op een skinny te dragen!

I used a French Terry to give it a structured look. Slightly going to fall and winter I want to be prepared for the cold weather and wearing it with boots seems to me a stylish but also sporty appearance. As you see I can alternate to wear it with or without a belt. 

Of course you can use a jersey knit too and this way you get a t-shirt. It’s up to you!

Ik gebruikte French Terry om het een gestructureerde uitstraling te geven. Als we stilaan de herfst en winter in gaan, wil ik voorbereid zijn op het koude weer en de Busan stylen met een enge broek en laarzen lijkt me stijlvol maar ook sportief. Zoals je ziet kan ik het afwisselend dragen met of zonder een riem.

Je kunt natuurlijk ook een jersey stretch gebruiken en zo krijg je een t-shirt. Aan jou de keuze!
